Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.................. Gotta tell ya, even though it was pretty cold up here lately, the sunsets have been incredible !!

Today's sunrise was a vision too !!

Thinking of working on a couple of slower tunes today..." There But For Fortune" by Phil Ochs and either, "Blue Bayou"- ( Roy Orbison) or "Lonesome Town" - (Ric Nelson) and also revamping an old tune by The Flying Borrito Brothers...called "Colorado" ( used to do it with my buddy Erik Holbrook Reynolds back in the 70's..... I'll miss his guitar parts....but I'll never forget hearing them...("never could pick like him").... Sharon heard me play some of it & wants me to put it on my prioriy list... a list that is getting rather large at this point, by the way...

We wish you a Happy New Year...

Bless you all !!

Christmas morning... Working on Tom Rush's
"Drivin Wheel" today, .. great tune .. lots of emotion..
Sharon's doing what she loves best.." the cooking thing"....apple pie, chocolate cream pie, preparing a ham for "ham steak" with potatoes & green beans, New England "baked beans" with brown sugar & molasses...(No wonder I have a problem with my weight...!!!) " wouldn't change it for the world though.... I'm sooooooooo greatful that the Sharon came into my life, and not just for the cooking.... she loves me for who and what I am ... I love her more than life itself.. She's been the life's-blood of my existence since we met, all those years ago in Phoenix...." I'd never known or really understood womenhood and it's sweetness...until I met her...". She understands me like no other................. "Boy ! I can't tell you how great the house smells"... Even the kids ( cats) are enjoying it !!!.. I hope you are all having a wonderful day with your families, friends and loved ones. God bless and keep you.

Sittin on the railing at our cabin in the Wet Mountains... ( Obviously before the snow )
Love it up here !! The view from where I'm sitting is through a valley and up to the Sangre's
( the 14er's) above Westcliffe, CO.
I'll Post some of my photos, later... you will not believe the view....
If any of you have some connections at venues that have "live" entertainment...let me know..Not really interested in "bars" --- no one listens to the entertainment..believe me... been there - done that... "not interested in being a human juke-box"I have something to say & the lyrics to the songs I choose to perform (original or by others ) mean something to me and the artists that wrote them.................................... Working on Gordon Lightfoot's " Canadian Railroad Trilogy" right now... coming together pretty good..
Merry Christmas
